GreenFields USA will be installing its MX Trimension woven turf and woven Sine pad with a TPE infill at US Lacrosse’s new headquarters and training center in Sparks, Md., the company announced in a news release. GreenFields also will supply two portable indoor fields using its XPNF non-infill system at US Lacrosse’s annual convention.

“We spent considerable time evaluating the product lines and brand fit of a number of synthetic turf manufacturers, and we concluded that GreenFields was an outstanding fit,” says US Lacrosse CEO Steve Stenersen in the news release. “From innovation to performance to sustainability, their product lines stood out, and I believe GreenFields will emerge as the preferred synthetic surface for lacrosse. We’re excited to be building what we feel will be the state-of-the-art lacrosse field for our national team training center.”

The field will serve as home for Team USA and a site for international, college and high school games, as well as youth play. The site will also serve as an education center for national coach and official training.

“The MX Trimension turf’s TenCate-produced fibers are nearly identical in texture to natural grass and possess many of the same properties,” GreenFields says in the news release. EAlso, its MX is 100 percent recyclable.

The installation is set for early 2016.

“We are proud and excited that US Lacrosse chose GreenFields to be its partner for the next five years,” says John Griffin, GreenFields USA manager, lacrosse development. “The demand for high-quality, safe and durable playing surfaces for lacrosse in the U.S. has increased significantly over recent years, and we are excited to help US Lacrosse meet this growing demand with some of the most innovative and reliable products in the industry.”
