ncys-logoThe National Council of Youth Sports (NCYS) approved FIRSTFORM as a ‘Recommended Provider’ of Sport Field Holdings‘ PrimePlay Replicated Grass turf systems. FIRSTFORM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sports Field Holdings.

As NCYS’ preferred synthetic turf provider, Sports Field will benefit from improved access to decision-makers within the national youth sport scene, introductions to fellow members, and unique educational opportunities regarding the company’s advanced synthetic turf products, Sports Field said in a recent press release.

NCYS represents over 200 member organizations that serve more than 60,000,000 registered youth participants, leading the youth sports industry by offering its members resources and services that are relevant, reliable, meaningful and purposeful.

“The safety of our youth athletes is first and foremost in the mission of the NCYS. At a time when crumb rubber turf fields have come under increased scrutiny for their potential safety issues, we are pleased to be partnering with a company that eliminates these concerning materials,” said NCYS Executive Director Sally Johnson. “If we can lower the chance of sports injuries from field impact while increasing athletic performance then we will be making great strides toward enhancing the youth sports experience for the players, coaches, fans and families.”

“Existing crumb rubber turf products on the market are known to contain carcinogens, and their safety has been challenged by numerous national agencies. FIRSTFORM’s infill products are all natural and organic and do not shift during play,” said Sports Field CEO and Chairman Jeromy Olson. “They are better and safer than anything else out there and can be tailored to nearly every sport. Designing compelling, efficient and safer alternatives for today’s athletes has always been goal number one for us, and to have been selected by NCYS as their preferred turf provider based on the quality of our existing products is an immense privilege.”
