Platte River Equity acquires Profile Products

Profile Products, a portfolio company of Mid Oaks Investments, has been sold to Platte River Equity. Specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Brown Gibbons Lang & Company’s (BGL’s) industrials practice and environmental services practice collaborated on the transaction and served as the exclusive financial advisor to the Profile Products, according to a news release from BGL.

Profile Products provides soil, water and vegetation management solutions. The company has developed patented and proprietary erosion and sediment control products, turf establishment products and complementary solutions designed to minimize soil loss and accelerate seed germination. Profile’s products are sold in 75 countries on 6 continents. Profile is based in Buffalo Grove, Ill., with operations in North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and California.
