Riggs joins ProGrass

Matthew Riggs joins ProGrass, LLC as the Southeastern US sales manager.

“Matt has been a big part in the growth of the synthetic turf industry over the past years and he is well respected by his peers throughout the industry,” says Robert Thomas, president of ProGrass. “Matt is a great fit for our sales staff, and we will do everything necessary to assist with his success. As a company, we were not actively searching for additional sales representatives; however, when a person of his character and knowledge comes along, we could not pass up the opportunity to welcome him to the ProGrass family.”

Riggs is a graduate of Tusculum College-Greeneville, Tenn., where he received a bachelor’s of arts degree in business administration while playing football and baseball.

While working toward his master’s degree in organizational management, Riggs was hired by TenCate Grass North America. He held the position of senior account manager at TenCate for more than six years. As part of his early training, Riggs worked in every stage of fiber production. He also worked closely with the specifying community to ensure that products were being properly specified, and spent time inspecting and studying synthetic turf fields.
