Toro launches centennial grant, donation programs

toro_century_140On the verge of celebrating its 100th anniversary, The Toro Co. launched a Legacy Grant Program and Annual Product Donation Program.

The Legacy Grant Program supports nonprofit organizations in their efforts to beautify and preserve outdoor environments and enhance green spaces at home, work and play. Grants also will be made to organizations whose projects encourage and educate the public about the efficient use of water.

The Annual Product Donation Program supports organizations via equipment and irrigation donations to assist in maintaining their facilities and achieving impact in their communities, such as beautification of their outdoor landscapes or providing job-skills training.

Additionally, Toro launched its first electronic application form for both grant programs, which is viewable at toro.com/community.  Applications for both programs will be accepted through March 31 and are available to nonprofit organizations located within 30 miles of a Toro community.

Toro communities that qualify domestically are as follows:

  • El Cajon, Calif.;
  • Riverside, Calif.;
  • Sanford, Fla.;
  • Ankeny, Iowa;
  • Twin Cities, Minn.;
  • Shakopee, Minn.;
  • Windom, Minn.;
  • Beatrice, Neb.;
  • Abilene, Texas;
  • El Paso, Texas;
  • Plymouth, Wis.; and
  • Tomah, Wis.
