STMA’s Stars and Stripes contest now accepting entries

June 22, 2017

The Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) kicked off its second annual Stars and Stripes contest. The winner will receive a complimentary pass to the 2018 STMA Conference next January in Fort Worth, Texas.

The contest, which is in honor of our countrymen and our nation’s birthday, challenges participants to design the most unique Fourth of July field art design and snap some beauty shots of the work.

Entries are to be submitted via Facebook before July 9 and the winner will be announced on July 19.

Last year, more than 20 contest entries were received via social media. The 2016 winner, Casey Griffin, former director of field operations for the Albuquerque Isotopes (Albuquerque, N.M.), generated nearly 500 “likes” for his intricate design at Isotopes Park.

You must be an active STMA member to enter; only patterns crafted with mowing equipment are eligible.
