Project EverGreen has unveiled a new feature for its Clean Air Calculator (CAC): a mobile drawing tool that allows users to easily map their green spaces and learn the amount of clean air they generate directly from their smartphones or tablets.

The new “mobile paint brush” makes mapping properties of any size simple and fun, according to the nonprofit. Whether servicing or managing a city park, natural grass sports field, corporate campus, residential lawn or golf course, the CAC is a key platform that measures how much carbon green space sequesters as well as the amount of clean air it produces.

“Healthy green spaces — grass, trees and shrubs — are one of the most effective natural ways to capture carbon and improve air quality in our communities,” said Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen. “With our new mobile drawing tool, anyone can now see the measurable environmental benefits of their green space right at their fingertips.”

Once a property is mapped, users receive a customized environmental impact report detailing:

  • Carbon sequestered by the landscape
  • Clean air produced annually
  • Miles of emissions offset
  • Number of people benefiting from the green space

For landscape contractors and lawn care professionals, the CAC offers more than just an environmental snapshot. Project EverGreen stated it is also a powerful business development and marketing tool.

By quantifying the clean air and carbon sequestration benefits your clients’ landscapes provide, you can differentiate your services, demonstrate measurable value and strengthen customer relationships. Sharing customized reports helps homeowners, property managers, HOAs and municipalities clearly see the positive impact of maintaining healthy green spaces, turning sustainability into a strong selling point, according to the nonprofit.

In addition, the CAC can enhance team training and client education efforts by helping crews and customers understand how proper turf, tree and shrub care contributes to cleaner, healthier communities. Whether incorporated into proposals, maintenance plans or social media content, the CAC’s data-backed insights can position companies as a trusted partner in environmental stewardship and community well-being.

“The Clean Air Calculator is more than a tool; it’s an invitation to get involved,” said Code. “We want people to have fun, stay curious and take pride in the environmental contributions their lawns, parks and landscapes make every day.”

Getting started with the Clean Air Calculator is quick, and in just a few easy steps, you can map your property and discover its environmental impact. To get started, create a free account at the CAC webpage.
