Advanced Turf Solutions hires Mark Armstrong

Advanced Turf Solutions announced Mark Armstrong, formerly of Creative Grounds Group LLC, an Ohio-based athletic field contractor, joined its growing sports field division.

With Armstrong on board as a sports turf area manager, Advanced Turf Solutions plans to expand its sports field consulting, renovation, construction and maintenance services by adding crews of qualified field technicians based in central Ohio.

Originally from Buffalo, N.Y., Armstrong is no stranger to athletic fields. Before playing six seasons for the Cincinnati Reds, Armstrong grew up working in his family’s field construction business.

After retiring from professional baseball, Armstrong worked for Creative Grounds Group Inc. and eventually bought out the company’s athletic field construction business in 2019.

“I have enjoyed working closely with Advanced Turf Solutions as a subcontractor for some time,” said Armstrong. “I am excited to be able to draw upon its tremendous resources and provide best-in-class solutions to our customers.”

With the expansion of Advanced Turf Solutions’ sports field services into Ohio, the company will have service teams throughout the Midwest.
