Albaugh’s Fludioxonil SC fungicide secures EPA registration
Albaugh recently secured EPA registration of Fludioxonil SC (EPA Reg. No. 42750-255), a protectant fungicide for control of foliar, stem and root diseases in turfgrasses and ornamental crops.
Fludioxonil SC contains the active ingredient fludioxonil, which features a unique mode of action derived from Pseudomonas pyrocinia, a naturally occurring soil bacterium. It disrupts fungal cells by interfering with osmotic regulation, causing them to absorb water, burst and die.
Designed for turf and ornamental professionals, Fludioxonil SC aims to provide reliable, broad-spectrum disease control against key pathogens including patch diseases, Anthracnose, Botrytis, pink and gray snow mold and Rhizoctonia. Albaugh stated the fungicide’s contact activity offers multi-point protection — on the leaf surface, within the thatch and at the soil interface — quickly reducing overall disease pressure and helping maintain healthy, resilient landscapes.
“Turf and ornamental managers need peace of mind with consistent disease control, and Fludioxonil SC delivers just that,” said Russ Mitchell, director of Albaugh Specialty Products. “The easy-to-use formulation supports superior resistance management as a group 12 fungicide. And its low risk of resistance makes it excellent for rotation or in mixtures for the key diseases it controls.”
Fludioxonil SC is a complementary addition to the full product portfolio and is now available for sale exclusively through the Albaugh Specialty Products distribution network.
