Envu expands turf management portfolio with new Tarvecta fungicide

Envu, a provider of services in professional pest management, forestry, ornamentals, golf, lawn and landscape and more, expanded its portfolio to include Tarvecta fungicide, a tool made to prevent soil-borne disease like fairy ring, summer patch and other diseases caused by summer stress. Tarvecta is approved for use on golf courses, athletic fields, sod farms and commercial lawns.
Tarvecta works on multiple difficult diseases as a combination of two important active ingredients, fluoxastrobin and flutriafol. Fluoxastrobin is taken up by the plant faster than other strobilurins, while flutriafol moves quicker than other DMIs up the xylem to internally control new fungal growth and form a protective barrier. The result is a fast-acting disease-control solution for stressed and weakened turf, according to Envu.

“Diseases can establish quickly when turfgrass is stressed during peak playing times,” said James Hempfling, Ph.D., Envu Green Solutions Team. “Whether managing a sports field or a golf course, disease damage disrupts turfgrass playability. That’s why preventive practices are crucial. Tarvecta can be applied proactively ahead of stressful periods to protect against infection or curatively to ensure rapid recovery.”
This latest product lengthens the portfolio of plant health solutions, ensuring turfgrass experts can manage stubborn diseases like fairy ring, summer patch, brown ring patch, take-all patch, leaf spot, anthracnose and snow mold before they set in. Tarvecta can be tank-mixed to manage high-pressure scenarios. For warm-season turf, Tarvecta can control spring dead spot and take-all root rot.
“We are proud to bring Tarvecta to the turfgrass industry,” said Mark Schneid, head of North America, Envu. “Envu is focused on bringing the best solutions into the hands of those who manage beautiful turfgrass spaces. With the right products on their side, (lawn care professionals) can be more proactive and consistently deliver on their vision for excellence.”
