Exmark updates Radius S-Series zero-turn mower
Exmark unveiled a new suspended platform-equipped version of its Radius S-Series zero-turn riding mower.
“The travel of the suspended platform travel is completely isolated from the cutting deck, so despite the increase in operator comfort, the quality of cut our customers expect is consistently maintained,” said Mike Mayfield, product manager of Exmark.
The new suspended platform is adjustable for operator weight and ride quality preferences—no tools required. It uses three independent coil-over dampers to isolate the cast aluminum operator platform from the mower chassis.
With the capability for 3 inches of vertical travel, the suspended platform minimizes the effect of bumps and vibration, and the trailing arm design minimizes lateral movement of the suspended platform, said the company.
Available with a choice of 48-, 52- or 60-inch UltraCut Series 3 cutting decks or a 60-inch rear-discharge cutting deck, the mower is powered by an air-cooled 708cc Exmark twin-cylinder engine and is capable of forward speeds of up to 9 mph. A heavy-duty canister air filtration system delivers maximum engine protection in dirty cutting conditions.
The mower also features maintenance-free sealed bearing blade spindle assemblies, tools-free belt access and an integrated oil drain hose. The machine contains only four grease points, reducing routine maintenance needs.
The machine also includes a 20-inch high-back operator seat featuring plush foam padding supported by an elastomeric vibration control stretch fabric base.
Additional features of the Radius S-Series model include:
- A digital hour meter;
- A 12-volt power port for charging electronics;
- An integrated tow hitch;
- A window-style fuel gauge; and
- A roll-over protection system, featuring a rear-facing angle to push branches away from the operator.
