John Deere introduced two new electric-powered offerings — the 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower and Gator GS Electric with lithium-ion battery option — at the 2025 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show in San Diego.

2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower

The 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower is a fully electric mower that offers a reliable, hydraulic-free solution that eliminates the risk of hydraulic leaks.

“At John Deere, we understand the growing need for sustainable, efficient equipment in the golf and sports turf industries,” said Kim Ehasz, global manager of market development and strategy at John Deere. “These new electric-powered options are designed to help golf course superintendents and turf managers reduce their carbon footprint, lower operational costs and enhance their productivity—all while maintaining the precision and reliability John Deere is known for.”

Rounding out the John Deere riding greens mower lineup, the 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower is a fully electric model designed for greens, tees, fairways, approaches and surrounds. Powered by a four-battery, 58-volt, 14.24 kwh MAX power pack, this mower delivers electric power to the traction, steering, lift/lower and mow circuits. The 1200-watt offboard charger recharges the batteries in 12 hours or less, allowing operators to mow more than 22 greens on a single charge.

John Deere’s Whisper Link lift/lower system operates silently, using a flexible link design powered by integrated smart motors. This system offers precise control over the lift and lower rates, as well as timing while providing the same exceptional contour-following performance, according to John Deere. The electric system eliminates hydraulic leaks, reduces maintenance needs, ensures ultra-quiet operation, zero operating emissions and no use of fossil fuels — benefiting both the environment and the operator.

Furthermore, the mower is compatible with a wide range of existing 2700/2750 Triplex Mower attachments, including Quick-Adjust 5 cutting units, LED light kits, grass catchers and more.

In addition, John Deere expanded its popular Gator GS Electric lineup with a high-performance lithium-ion battery option.

The Gator GS Electric lineup now offers a new lithium-ion battery option, providing a high-performance, low-maintenance solution for customers who require an electrified vehicle. This upgraded battery delivers longer runtime, reduced weight and reliable performance at any charge level, making it ideal for tackling any task on the course, according to the company. Unlike traditional lead-acid batteries, the lithium-ion option significantly reduces maintenance needs, lowers operating costs and ensures more uptime.

The John Deere Gator GS Electric with lithium-ion battery option is now available for order, while the John Deere 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower will be available for order in the U.S. and Canada starting Aug. 15, 2025.
