Quali-Pro launches new turf insecticide for grub and pest control

Quali-Pro is introducing Contrado SC Turf Insecticide, a new product formulated to control turf insects with just one application, according to the company.
Contrado SC has 18.4 percent chlorantraniliprole and is labeled for both systemic and foliar activity, targeting pests such as white grubs, turf caterpillars and others. The activity of Contrado can extend the period of control for annual bluegrass weevils (ABW) when used after an early spring application of Suprado. As a non-neonicotinoid insecticide, it can be used in resistance management and rotational programs.
Key product characteristics:
- One application delivers season-long control of grubs, according to Quali-Pro.
- Effective against billbugs, turf caterpillars, crane fly larvae, ABW and others.
- Systemic and foliar protection ensures strong plant uptake and surface defense.
- Ideal for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and rotation programs.
- Non-neonicotinoid — supports resistance mitigation and pollinator stewardship.
Use sites include golf courses, turfgrass, lawns, recreational turf, landscapes, interior plantscapes, commercial ornamental plant nurseries, greenhouses and sod farms.
Quali-Pro stated Contrado SC is intended for insect control in turf and can be used in programs that prioritize performance, flexibility and sustainability.
