Syngenta is making significant updates to its GreenCast Connect (GCX) platform, GCX Mobile 1.1.0 and Web 2.4.0. These updates bring substantial improvements to both the mobile application and web-based dashboard, enhancing the platform’s functionality for turf management professionals, according to the company.

The Web 2.4.0 update for Spiio soil sensor customers (Pro level) features a redesigned user interface with improved navigation through a new side menu system. The dashboard now presents data with greater visual clarity through an optimized card design and better color contrast, allowing users to focus on critical insights. A refined alerts section includes new filtering capabilities and quick access to notification settings.

Web 2.4.0 users who have signed up for the Pro-level subscription will benefit from new soil sensor alert features, including:

  • Immediate low moisture level detection.
  • Customizable soil temperature threshold alerts.
  • User-specific notification management while maintaining organization-wide threshold settings.

The Mobile 1.1.0 update introduces:

  • Centralized notification management.
  • New annual growing degree days (GDD) widget for year-over-year comparison of turf growth complementing the customized widgets currently used to track GDD.
  • Pro and Advanced subscribers gain exclusive access to comprehensive aggregated long-term weather data analytics available in three-, seven- and 14-day intervals, including:
    • Ambient and soil temperature tracking.
    • Humidity monitoring.
    • Precipitation and evapotranspiration data.
    • Net water gain/loss calculations.

“These updates reflect our commitment to providing turf professionals with the most advanced digital tools available,” said Steve Dorer, head of Syngenta Digital Platforms. “By incorporating user feedback, we’ve created a more intuitive and powerful platform that helps optimize turf management decisions.”

The enhanced GreenCast Connect platform is available now on iOS and Android. Current users will receive automatic updates, while new users can access these features by subscribing to the Pro or Advanced subscription levels.
