Trojan introduces new lithium battery for large golf carts

Trojan Battery Co.recently unveiled its new and advanced lithium-ion battery: the Trojan Lithium OnePack High Performance (HP). Designed for golf cart modifiers and large passenger (10-12) vehicles commonly found on university campuses and amusement parks, the new battery aims to set a benchmark for power, safety and ease of installation, according to the company.
The OnePack HP is engineered to address the growing need for higher performance in 10-12 passenger golf carts. With a 171-amp-hour (Ah) capacity, the battery can deliver up to 75 miles per charge, significantly extending operational range without requiring costly upgrades to 72V systems. Its maximum continuous draw of 300 amps and short-term bursts up to 1,000 amps provide the torque and speed needed for larger, heavier vehicles, according to Trojan.
For dealers and fleet managers, the company states that OnePack HP simplifies inventory and installation with a single SKU that covers both long-range and high-power applications. The 48V solution eliminates the need for high-voltage components and reduces training and parts requirements, allowing for more efficient fleet management.
Trojan stated that as demand for electric utility vehicles grows across campuses and commercial sites, the need for reliable, high-capacity batteries is increasing. Trojan’s latest release positions the company to compete with other major players in the lithium battery sector who are also targeting the expanding market for electric fleet solutions, according to the company.
Trojan Battery’s full OnePack family, including the 48V 105Ah and Extended Range 171Ah packs, reflects the company’s goal in innovation with deep-cycle battery technology.
