AstroTurf added a new distributor and installer based in Michigan that will serve the Great Lakes region.

AstroTurf added AstroTurf Great Lakes to its network of synthetic turf distributors and installers.

Todd DeWolfe, John Forrester and Justin Booth will run the new business.

“Being a partner of synthetic turf athletic field builder has always been a dream of mine,” DeWolfe said. “For this new journey in my career, it was important to me to stay in the Sport Group/AstroTurf family and being able to start AstroTurf Great Lakes was something I couldn’t turn down.”

A graduate of Central Michigan University’s recreational facility management program, DeWolfe spent time working for businesses that built sports facilities before entering the turf industry in 1998. DeWolfe served as vice president of business and development at ProGrass in Sharpsville, Pa., until the company’s acquisition by AstroTurf.

“We’ve enjoyed great success and extreme growth with SynLawn in the state of Michigan over the last three years,” said Justin Booth, owner of SynLawn Michigan in Novi, Mich. “With creating this new AstroTurf territory and having Todd join us as a partner, we will look to expand on that growth in the sports field sector and corner the turf market as a whole.”
