Thiel College, located in Greenville, Pa., partnered with FieldTurf to renovate Stoeber Field at Alumni Stadium. The project is expected to conclude in July and is estimated at $550,000.
The renovation includes:
- A Classic HD turf system.
- Alternating light and dark green 5-yard stripes.
- Navy blue end zones.
- “Thiel” displayed on the east end zone in old gold.
- “Tomcats” displayed on the west end zone in old gold.
- Permanent lines for soccer and lacrosse.
- Outlining the entire field in light blue.
Stoeber Field at Alumni Stadium opened in 2001 and the team replaced the original turf in 2012. Qualite Sports Lighting installed competition-level lighting in 2013.
Stoeber Field also serves as the playing surface for the Rissell-Schreyer Dome, a seasonal air-supported structure. The Rissell-Schreyer Dome allows Thiel’s lacrosse programs to play games indoors and provides indoor practice space for many of the College’s athletics programs, other campus groups and community walkers.
