Foley Co. acquires Air2G2

Foley Co. has added Air2G2 in Jacksonville, Fla., to its portfolio, effective Oct. 31. Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.

Air2G2 was founded in Northeast Florida by Glen Black in 2010. Air2G2 is the manufacturer of the Air2G2 336, Air2HP, Air2GO and Air2G2 436R products. Air2G2 products are sold worldwide to customers in the sports turf, turf and recreation and golf course industries making Air2G2 a provider air-injection and soil decompaction solutions.

“Glen (Black) is a pioneer and innovator in air-injection and soil decompaction technology,” said Paul Rauker, president and CEO of Foley Co. “Glen and his team have developed solutions that allow for turf facilities around the globe to reduce their water usage and costs by increasing water absorption rates, strengthening root systems, and reducing the hardness of the turf surface. These are only a few of the great solutions that led us to bring Air2G2 into the Foley Co. family and we thank Glen for this opportunity.”

Foley Co. is located in Prescott, Wis., and has designed and manufactured reel, bedknife and rotary blade sharpening equipment since 1926.

Greg Turner, global sales director of Foley Co., added, “By partnering with Glen and Air2G2, Foley can now provide innovative solutions both below (Air2G2) and above (Foley Grinders) the turf surface.”
