Hellas Construction hires new business development manager
With more than 35 years in the sports education industry, coaching students and leading athletic programs, Bob Jones is now joining the Hellas Construction team as the company’s new business development manager.
He has served athletes and school districts across Texas, most recently Bastrop ISD, where he served as athletic director for the last two years.
“There are butterflies,” said Jones as he walked into Hellas his first day. “It’s a different kind of butterflies. It’s an exciting feeling to start a new career. It is a little scary, but I am putting a game plan together. I am setting up dates and meetings, along with making a list of things I need to do,” Jones said.
Hellas came calling on Jones during football season this past fall. “They called me,” Jones said. “I have known them for years though and we have always had a good personal relationship.”
He has worked with Hellas President Reed J. Seaton and Business Development Managers Randy Bullock and Jim Loerwald, and many others at Hellas throughout the years on athletic facility projects.
“I have seen the quality product they put out and the pride all the employees have in their work,” Jones said. “They work hard for their customers to make sure the job is done right. Why wouldn’t I want to work for the best company out there serving athletics?”
