NCS4 to host 2025 National Intercollegiate Athletics Safety and Security forum at Duke University
The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) will host the 2025 National Intercollegiate Athletics Safety and Security Forum on Jan. 28-29, 2025, at Duke University in Durham, N.C.
The forum addresses key safety and security challenges facing intercollegiate athletic programs and shares best practices for continuous improvement. Discussing current issues and exploring solutions in a forum environment will help colleges, universities, athletic conferences and associations enhance safety and security plans and operations.
Athletic administrators and staff from NCAA Division I, II and III institutions, athletic conference administrators, football bowl administrators, NCAA representatives, campus law enforcement, local and state law enforcement, facility managers, government officials, emergency managers, fire/HAZMAT, emergency medical services, city planners, governing bodies and sports commissions are invited to register as attendees for the forum.
Space is limited for this event, and registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance is $475 per person. Attendees consist of those working and/or supporting intercollegiate athletic programs.
Established in 2006, the NCS4 is the nation’s only academic center dedicated to studying and practicing spectator sports safety and security. The organization’s training and educational programs have reached over 95,000 individuals.
The NCS4 is located in the Trent Lott National Center at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). It is partially funded by grants from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The organization collaborates with professional associations, government agencies, academic entities and the private sector to develop critical resources and networking opportunities, such as the annual conference and forums, as well as best practices, guidelines and technology solution whitepapers.
