Planet Turf hires new manager of operations
Planet Turf, a company specializing in turf and ornamental maintenance products and services, has hired Riley Connolly as manager of operations.
Connolly joined the team on Aug. 15 2016 and will assume his position fully on Sept. 6. His responsibilities include managing office and warehouse staff, sales support, logistics, supply chain management, government contracting and overseeing accounts payable and receivable.
Connolly will be replacing Noelle Connolly as she pursues her master’s degree in Public Policy at Kings College in London, United Kingdom.
“We are really excited to have Riley on the team,” said Jim Connolly, president of Planet Turf. “His understanding of operations management, day to day golf course operations, and professional experience and attitude makes him a valuable addition to our company. We’ve been a family business since the beginning, so it’s great to have my son working alongside me.”
Connolly received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and Asian Studies from Whitworth University and has worked in the golf industry since he was 15 years old. He’s gained experience working as a caddie, maintenance crew member, pro-shop retail, hospitality, public school teacher and Japanese language interpreter.
