Sports Turf Managers Association conference goes virtual

The Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) will transition to a virtual event, held Jan. 12-14, 2021.

“After much deliberation and consultation with members, peer organizations and Palm Springs Convention Center executives, the STMA board of directors has determined that its annual conference and exhibition is unable to be held in person,” the association said in a statement.

The virtual conference promises to have a robust educational program with some flexibility for attending. The association said it plans to offer two new weekly conference education programs from Jan. 19-Feb. 16. Attendees will have the ability to ask presenters questions, too.

Networking rooms and an expo hall will also be a part of the virtual conference. Other highlights include a keynote address by Pete Smith, leadership trainer; a state of the industry session; and awards.

Registration opens Oct. 15, and incentives are available for early registrants.
