STMA launches fourth annual “Stars and Stripes” competition
The Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) launched its fourth annual “Stars and Stripes” contest on June 12. Enter the contest to win a complimentary pass to the 2020 STMA conference next January in West Palm Beach, Fla.
In honor of our countrymen and our nation’s birthday, STMA invites sports turf managers to create their most unique Fourth of July field art design, snap some beauty shots of their work and enter them to win. To be eligible, you must be an active STMA member and you must only craft your patterns with mowing equipment and paint.
Last year’s winner was Ryder Haulk, assistant sports field manager of Purdue University athletics. Brian Bornino, CSFM, also assisted with the project, including 50 stars and 13 stripes within the Purdue “P.”
Entries can be submitted via Facebook through July 7. The public may vote via Facebook from July 8 to 14. The design receiving the most votes will be declared the winner, upon verification. Please note that previous “Stars and Stripes” winners are not eligible to apply.
