Underhill introduces synthetic turf manual irrigation kit

underhill_turfgunkitUnderhill International has introduced the Turf Gun Kit, a manual alternative to an automated irrigation system for cleaning and cooling synthetic sports fields.

The kit consists of two parts: a portable MTG-180 Turf Gun with specifiable nozzle, and a stainless steel below-grade enclosure with internal mounting assembly. The enclosure includes all necessary quick-connect components and a padlock to prevent unauthorized use.

The Turf Gun weighs less than 12 pounds and delivers up to 180 degrees of coverage. It uses the same piston-drive technology found in Underhill’s Mirage M-160 long-throw sprinklers for cooling or cleaning fields.

Underhill says that the ratio of Turf Gun heads is typically 4 to 1 to below-grade MSSB-MTG-Kits, allowing fast and efficient coverage of alternating sides of a field.

The Turf Gun Kit is Underhill’s newest irrigation product in the Total Solutions line for sports fields. It is available in full and part circle models and installs outside of the area of play for safety. It has a radius range from 105’ to 180’. Six nozzles can be specified: 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24mm. Rotation speed is adjustable from 2 to 7 minutes for a full circle. Operating pressure ranges from 58 to 114 PSI.
