Underhill recently released the Featherweight UltraMax and the Featherweight ProLine, two lightweight hoses based on technology from the firefighting industry.
The Featherweight UltraMax hose is 1-inch with NPSH threads used for golf courses. Underhill says the hose has a special outer fabric that is kink-resistant and will not scuff the turf on golf greens. The hose has a working pressure rating of 300 psi and a burst pressure rating of 1200 psi.

The company says the new Featherweight UltraMax weighs about a third of what normal professional hose does.
Underhill decided to bring this same technology to sports fields with the release of their Featherweight ProLine. The ProLine version features a 800 psi burst pressure and 200 psi working pressure. The Featherweight ProLine comes in three-fourths inch diameter and weighs less than 12 pounds for a 100-foot hose.
